CATERING POLICIES
BASIC CATERING GUIDELINES
- To ensure the best quality and service, please place your orders at least 3 business days in advance.
- While we will always try to accommodate late orders and revisions, not all requests may be possible.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 business hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 business hours of the event time will require the invoice to be paid in full.
- The exception to this is for all boxed lunches and cold sandwich or wrap platters. Cancellations and reductions must be made at least 72 business hours in advance. Cancellations and reductions of these menu items within 72 business hours of the event time will require the invoice to be paid in full.
- Our minimum catering order is $75.
- Delivery and pick up are included in pricing.
- All invoices reflect applicable Seattle/Bellevue/Kirkland City Tax.
- All staffed events will include a $30 per hour/per staff fee, with a 3-hour minimum.
- This will include 60 min of set up and 60 min of break down time.
- Plated meals and events with china service may incur additional setup and breakdown times.
- A 20% service charge will be applied for all staffed events and events with 100+ attendees.
- All necessary serving utensils, buffet signage, buffet equipment, compostable cutlery, plates, napkins, and standard table linens are included in our prices.
- Specialty linen, tableware and equipment are subject to additional charges and require an advance notice of 5 business days.
- Linen service only is an additional $10 per standard linen. Additional charges will apply for specialty linen.
- Unreturned/damaged catering equipment will incur a charge equal to the cost of replacement.
- In the case of inclement weather (resulting in King County school closures & special bus routes), we require a minimum of 12-hour notice for cancellations to avoid charges. To cancel, client must email compasscatering@amazon.com or call 206-640-4773.
PAYMENT POLICY

- The full balance is due the business day following the event date.
- If paying with a PO, Compass One must receive the approved purchase order at least 48 hours in advance.
- If paying with a Credit Card, payment information must be given at the time of booking
BAR SERVICE
- Compass One Catering provides a great selection of PNW beer/cider/wine, full selection of spirits as well as non-alcoholic options. All bar beverages are billed based on consumption except where otherwise noted.
- All bars have a minimum $250 purchase. For events that do not meet the minimum, the difference will be added to the final invoice.
- Bartenders are available at $30 per hour/per bartender, with a 2-hour minimum.
- If you are providing your own alcohol, you must provide a banquet permit. We are happy to staff your bar. Corkage fees apply if we staff/serve the alcohol for you.
EXTRA SERVICES
- Wine/Spirit corkage fee $15.00 per bottle
- Beer/cider corkage fee $2.00 per bottle
- In addition to our food and beverage service, we can assist you with your large party rental needs. If you need specific service products or décor we can provide these rental quotes. Please allow for a 5 business day advance notice. All rentals incur an additional 10% convenience fee.
WEEKEND, AFTER HOURS & OFF-CAMPUS REQUESTS
- The minimum food and beverage catering order is $500. The service staff rate is $40.00 per hour/per staff member
